Last day in October

Okay, it has finally arrived - the last day in October. the day before IT all begins, the November trouble!

This is where I wonder why I signed up, if I can do it, why I want to... I was very keen t o start over the last few weeks but now I'm not so sure...

Ignore the above! Of course, I'm looking forward to it! Can't wait!

We started off very well with a great party last night, organised by one of the MLs for Ireland (Inkpot). Got a lovely goodybag too!

I will try to post comments here regularly during the month - hopefully I'll keep on top of my daily word count and be able to do that!

As you can see!

And nothing done!

Sub-titles are dangerous!

Just look at my subtitle on this blog - Nanowrimo or death!

I have a bad feeling that I will die in the attempt - I hope it doesn't mean that if I don't complete those 50,000 words, I have to kill myself!

Of course, maybe it means that if I do Nanowrimo, I'll never die?

Don't like any of those options!

Anyway, only 8 days to go (counting today!) and nothing further done on characters.

You can put the blame on Squidge...

A challenge and a Half!

Developing interesting characters that will engage your readers from the start is very difficult!

Usually when I have an idea for a story, the main character is integral to it - but this time, I worked on a plot first, with only the vaguest of characters.

I want readers to hope A lives, and B dies horribly, and please please don't kill off sweet old C or hard done by D!

I missing a title for this story too, but I'm more about concerned about the people in it!

The Story So far...

Ok, it's like this - I've done my story/chapter outline. 22 chapters in total - though this might well expand (or shrink) during November.

It's a standard romcomzom tale - without the rom or com! Yes, a basic zombie story, which hopefully will be entertaining, atmospheric - or just plain readable!

Now the hard part - think of interesting characters to fill the narrative with!

Not Long to Go

Oops!

What Madness Is This?

To take on a needless commitment to write 50,000 words (or more) in November - yes, madness!

Of course, setting up a blog to record on a daily basis the highs and lows - that's probably madness too!

I'll let you know how I get on! Or where I end up!
